Shopify profit calculator
See what a Shopify order really leaves you after product cost, shipping, payment fees, apps and advertising, and the break-even ROAS for that product.
How to calculate the profit of a Shopify order
Start with the revenue without sales tax or VAT: the product price plus what the customer paid for shipping. Subtract the product cost, what you pay to ship, the payment fee (Shopify Payments charges a percentage plus a fixed amount per order, depending on your plan and country), app costs per order and the ad cost to get the order.
Profit per order = revenue − product cost − shipping cost − payment fee − apps − ad cost.
Where to find your numbers in Shopify
Product cost: Products › a product › Cost per item (Shopify does not fill it for you). Payment fees: Settings › Payments, or the transactions of a payout in Finances. Ad cost per order: your ad spend divided by the orders it brought.
From one order to every order
This calculator works for one product at a time. savvy.so does the same calculation for every Shopify order automatically, with real costs, fees and the ad spend of each channel, and sends that profit to Google Ads and Meta.
